“Helping children reach their full potential.”

ABOUT ME

ABOUT

A Little About Me

Hi, my name is Alicia Ehrhardt, M.A., CCC-SLP! I am a state-licensed and nationally certified pediatric speech-language pathologist with over 13 years of experience working with children and families. I provide speech, language, and communication therapy for children ranging from birth through school age.

I am a mobile speech-language pathologist, which means I come to you! Therapy is provided in your child’s natural environment, such as your home or their school. I work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other treating professionals to ensure a collaborative, team-based approach. I believe every child is unique, and each treatment plan is thoughtfully tailored to their individual needs, strengths, and goals. I have a genuine passion for working with children and families, and I take great pride in watching each child grow, gain confidence, and reach their goals!

With over 13 years of experience as a pediatric speech-language pathologist, I have had the opportunity to work with children with a wide variety of communication needs. I am also a mother to two boys, and one of my children has autism. This has given me a personal perspective on what it feels like to be on the other side of the therapy process—as a parent navigating evaluations, therapy, goals, and advocating for your child.

As a speech-language pathologist, my goals are to provide high-quality, individualized care, help bridge speech, language, and communication gaps, guide and support families throughout the therapy process, and advocate for each child’s needs. Most importantly, I strive to make therapy fun, meaningful, and strength-based, while helping each child develop the skills they need to communicate with confidence.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe children learn best through PLAY! Therapy should be something children look forward to, not something they dread. I work to make each session engaging, motivating, and fun while incorporating activities that are meaningful to each child.

I believe in teaching through love, patience, and compassion. I use a naturalistic, play-based approach and incorporate child-led activities whenever possible. By following a child’s interests and building therapy around their strengths, I can create opportunities for communication and learning that feel natural and enjoyable.

I also believe that parents and caregivers are an essential part of the therapy process. My goal is not only to work with your child during their therapy sessions, but also to provide families with strategies and tools they can use in everyday routines and activities.

LOCATIONS SERVED

I am a private, mobile speech-language pathologist currently providing services at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School and Early Learning Center. I believe therapy is most meaningful when it takes place in a child’s natural environment, where skills can be practiced within familiar routines, activities, and relationships. My goal is to create a comfortable, engaging environment where children can build communication skills while having fun and feeling successful.
